Reality television star Charlotte Crosby has shared devastating news that her mother's cancer has returned, just weeks after the family celebrated her being declared disease-free.
Heartbreaking Health Update
Charlotte Crosby, the 35-year-old former Geordie Shore star, has revealed that her mother Letitia, 56, is facing another cancer battle despite being told she was cancer-free in October. This marks the third cancer diagnosis for Letitia, who previously beat breast cancer in 2022 and was diagnosed with skin cancer in September.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail, Charlotte disclosed the emotional development: 'She has got a little bit of skin cancer on her face, unfortunately. She's getting it tested. It was only a recent thing that was just picked up on.'
The family is currently awaiting biopsy results, with Charlotte expressing hope that a simple operation could resolve the situation and restore her mother's cancer-free status once more.
Mother-Daughter Bond Through Business
The timing is particularly poignant as Charlotte recently discussed how her fashion brand, Pepper Girls Club, has given her mother purpose during her health struggles. Charlotte invested £300,000 into the business venture she established in 2019, creating it specifically to provide employment for her mother after she was made redundant.
'I purely did it for my mum,' Charlotte told The Sun. 'My mum's my best friend, so when she was made redundant, I wanted to be able to build something with my mum to keep her in a job and just to give her a bit of an easier life.'
Remarkably, Letitia continued working throughout her breast cancer treatment and chemotherapy, with Charlotte noting that the business gave her mother a vital sense of purpose during her health battles.
Unexpected Diagnosis Before Holiday
Letitia first revealed her skin cancer diagnosis over the summer in an emotional Instagram post to her 130,000 followers. She received the shocking news just hours before boarding a flight for holiday.
'I had a bit of a shock,' Letitia said in her video announcement. 'I went to the hospital about three hours before I was due to board a plane and found out I have skin cancer on my face... It is not great and certainly not what I wanted to hear either, as I do actually wear factor 50. Obviously, I am gutted.'
She expressed particular surprise at the diagnosis given her diligent sun protection habits, noting she doesn't use sunbeds and regularly wears high-factor sunscreen. Letitia speculated that the cancer might have originated from time spent in Australia.
The family now faces another period of uncertainty as they await test results, hoping for another successful outcome in Letitia's ongoing health journey.
