Mum's Weight Loss Jab Horror: Black Urine and Hospital Dash

A mother from Aberdeen has described how she nearly died after using weight loss jabs, which turned her urine 'black' and caused her to collapse in front of her children. Claire Reid, 49, began using the GLP-1-class injection in March after seeing others' success, paying around £200 per month from a reputable online pharmacy after only completing a questionnaire.

Ms Reid lost four stone in four months, dropping from 15 to 11 stone, but started feeling unwell in June. She could not eat or drink without feeling sick, and her urine turned black due to dehydration. She was too embarrassed to disclose her use of the jab to anyone.

She would pass out daily, and her children took her to hospital after she lost consciousness in the car. Doctors at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary suspected the jab was the cause and put her on an IV drip for a week. Ms Reid said: 'I kept collapsing at the end of the day because when you're not drinking or eating anything your body just shuts down.'

Ms Reid has now stopped using the jabs but continues to struggle with eating and fatigue. She fears she could have died and wants to raise awareness about the dangers of buying medication online. 'The consultant said this is a big problem because the people selling it to you can't see you, they're just asking a quick questionnaire. And then you're left on your own,' she said.
