Brandi Glanville, the former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has finally received a diagnosis for her ongoing health condition that has caused facial disfigurement. The 53-year-old shared the news with TMZ, stating she has had the diagnosis for just a few days and will reveal it publicly 'soon.'
Glanville has been documenting her health struggles on social media for years, sharing candid images of her disfigurement. She described the experience as 'hell,' saying she has become an introvert and suffers from severe anxiety when leaving her home. 'I’ve been in my house for two years,' she added.
The reality star has spent an estimated $130,000 on medical bills over the past two and a half years, exhausting her savings. In August, she told Us Weekly she is 'paying the minimum' on her credit cards and feels like a 'loser' for not being financially stable. Doctors initially thought she had a parasite in her face.
In January, Glanville enlisted the help of Dr. Terry Dubrow, co-host of Botched, who suggested her issues could stem from an infectious process, a foreign body reaction to an injection, or a bacterial infection. In April, she was hospitalised after being unable to move her head and neck for four hours.
Glanville has described her skin as having 'tiny bubbles bursting' and has lost five teeth due to the condition. She believes she may have been infected by a previously undiscovered species of human ectoparasite while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco in 2022.
