Former X Factor star Scarlett Lee has shared joyous personal news, announcing that she is expecting her first child.
A Sweet Social Media Reveal
The 28-year-old singer, who captured the nation's heart on the ITV talent show, confirmed her pregnancy in an adorable Instagram post. She shared a heartfelt poem that read: "Ten little fingers, two little toes. Two beautiful eyes and a cute button nose. Singing along to mummy at all her shows."
Lee then revealed the key detail for her fans, captioning the upload: "Arriving August 2026." The post also featured a framed photograph of one of her ultrasound scans, making the announcement even more special for her followers.
From TV Stages to a New Chapter
Scarlett Lee's journey to stardom began on X Factor. She first appeared on the show in 2017, reaching the six-chair challenge stage before her elimination. Undeterred, she returned a year later in 2018 and enjoyed a spectacular run, ultimately finishing in a very close second place.
Her final performance was a duet of "One More Sleep" with winner Leona Lewis. She was narrowly beaten to the crown by Dalton Harris, who performed "The Power of Love" with James Arthur.
Since her time on the show, Lee's life has blossomed. She got engaged to her partner, Nathan, just a year after her X Factor finale, in a uniquely poignant proposal. Nathan popped the question beside the graves of her grandparents in a touching effort to include them in the special moment. The couple married shortly afterwards.
Music, Motherhood and Moving Forward
Alongside her personal happiness, Scarlett Lee has continued to pursue her music career. She even tested her talent across the Atlantic with an appearance on American Idol and has recently revealed plans to release an album this year.
In her pregnancy announcement, she expressed her excitement for the future, writing: "For this child we have prayed and the Lord has granted our hearts desire. Baby Cole coming August 2026. We cannot wait for our next chapter of being mummy and daddy and I cannot wait to share my music journey with our little blessing."
The comments section was quickly flooded with warm congratulations from fans and friends alike. Fellow X Factor alum Tracy Leanne wrote: "Congratulations my scarlet I am so happy for you both," while many others shared their well-wishes for the expecting parents.
