Woman, 43, Welcomes Twins After Ditching Vegan Diet Following 8 Miscarriages
Woman has twins after ending vegan diet post-miscarriages

After eight heartbreaking miscarriages and years of fertility struggles, a 43-year-old woman has finally become a mother to twin boys, attributing her success to a significant change in her diet.

A Decade-Long Struggle for Motherhood

Molly Brown, an artist, and her 34-year-old husband Zach Hosny spent years trying to conceive a child. Their journey was marked by profound loss, including eight miscarriages and two rounds of hormone treatment, alongside countless negative pregnancy tests. Having followed a vegan diet for a decade, primarily due to IBS, Molly began to question whether her nutritional choices were affecting her ability to carry a pregnancy to term.

In early 2025, after watching a video where a doctor recommended a carnivore diet for fertility, Molly decided to make a radical change. She switched from a plant-based diet to one rich in high-quality animal proteins. Her new daily regimen included foods like eggs with butter and bacon, ground beef, steak, and collagen-rich supplements.

A Natural Conception and High-Risk Pregnancy

Remarkably, just a few months after altering her diet, Molly fell pregnant naturally at the age of 43. Doctors confirmed the pregnancy in April 2025, and the couple were overjoyed to discover they were expecting twins. Molly remained cautiously optimistic, wary of further disappointment.

However, at 17 weeks, the pregnancy was complicated by a diagnosis of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), a serious condition where twins share blood supply unevenly. Molly underwent emergency laser surgery the very next day to correct the issue. She then endured weekly check-ups for the remainder of her high-risk pregnancy.

Miracle Babies Arrive Safely

In early December 2025, Molly gave birth via Caesarean section to two healthy sons, Zander and Ryder. Zander weighed 4.5lbs and his brother Ryder was 2.5lbs. Both boys required a stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to gain weight but were otherwise strong.

The new family were reunited at home just before Christmas, with Zander discharged first and Ryder following about a week later. Molly expresses immense gratitude for her "angels," stating she feels they were destined to be with her. While she cannot scientifically prove the diet change was the sole cause, she firmly believes the boost in nutrients and healthy fats from meat, eggs, and butter played a pivotal role in her successful pregnancy after years of heartbreak.
