Reality television star Tully Smyth has announced she is expecting her first child with her partner, Ned Rohrt. The 38-year-old, best known for her appearance on Big Brother Australia, confirmed the joyous news in a heartfelt social media post on Sunday night.
A Scenic and Emotional Announcement
Tully shared the news with her followers by posting a tender video clip to Instagram. The footage captured the couple embracing in a picturesque bushland setting, holding an ultrasound photograph. She accompanied the moving clip with a caption expressing their overwhelming happiness.
"A tiny Rohrt joins our world July, 2026," Tully wrote. "We are completely over the moon and so incredibly grateful." She also took a moment to acknowledge others on a similar journey, adding: "To anyone still hoping, trying or healing: We see you and we're sending so much love."
Celebrity Friends Flood with Congratulations
The announcement was swiftly met with an outpouring of support from Tully's famous friends and colleagues. Comedian Tanya Hennessy exclaimed, "Eeeeeeeee!!!! Yayyyyyyyyy," while Australian model Jess King commented, "SO SO SO excited for you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The comments section became a hub of celebratory messages for the expecting couple.
Reflecting on a Past Heartbreak
The happy news follows a shock confession Tully made last year about a previous relationship. In April, she revealed she had once lost a boyfriend to a famous US pop group. The band in question was the sister trio Haim.
Tully explained that after introducing her then-boyfriend to the band, he swapped numbers with his favourite member and began texting behind her back. Shortly after, he announced a solo holiday to the USA, which culminated in him watching the band perform from the side of the stage at a festival.
"Guess you could say I did this to myself?!" she captioned a humorous clip about the incident at the time. "Worst part was it meant I couldn’t listen to their music for YEARS!" Tully did not specify whether the band member was Este, Danielle, or Alana Haim.
This new chapter with Ned Rohrt marks a profound and joyful shift for Tully Smyth, as she prepares to welcome her first child in the summer of 2026.
