Reality TV favourite Roxy Wilson has officially confirmed she is expecting her first child, sharing an intimate photo of her baby bump on social media. The announcement comes just days after her mother, Judy, let the exciting news slip during a television appearance.
From Screen to Stork: Roxy's Sweet Announcement
The 32-year-old recruitment executive, who lives in Amsterdam, posted the heartwarming image to her Instagram followers. In the photo, she can be seen lifting her pyjama top to gently cradle her growing bump, captioning the moment simply with two white love hearts.
This personal confirmation followed a rather public revelation from her mother. Judy Wilson, who appeared alongside Roxy on the hit BBC show The Traitors, was a guest on ITV's This Morning last week. While chatting with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, Judy excitedly declared, "Can I just say - our Roxy is having a baby!"
She went on to share that this new arrival will be her twelfth grandchild, prompting Cat to joke she had "a football team" and Ben to add, "She's got a sub!". Judy, who was on the sofa with fellow contestant Netty Osterberg, also revealed the baby is due in June of this year.
Flood of Congratulations and Traitors Drama
Fans of the BBC reality star were quick to flood her Instagram comments with messages of support and joy. One admirer wrote, "You look so cute! Congratulations," while another added, "So wonderful Roxy - what an exciting path you have ahead!". A third fan commented, "Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy Roxy."
The mother-daughter duo first found fame on the tense psychological game show, The Traitors, though Judy's stint was cut short. She was banished at the very first roundtable after the other Faithfuls mistakenly believed she was secretly a Traitor.
The current series continues to deliver high drama, with the Faithfuls closing in on the hidden Traitors. Notably, even Roxy has begun to suspect fellow contestant Stephen Libby, causing him to panic. This season introduced a new 'Secret Traitor' twist, which saw contestant Fiona unexpectedly unveiled as the crimson-cloaked killer in the fourth episode.
Explosive Show Moments and Cunning Strategies
Fiona's reveal led to one of the series' most memorable moments, where she turned on fellow Traitor Rachel Duffy, accusing her of "fibbing" before being banished herself. In an interview with Wales Online after her exit, the Swansea-based grandmother stood by her risky move.
"You want to do the best that you can and so I think I did," Fiona explained. "I fired a shot too early at Rachel, but I knew she's such a fantastic player... I wanted to do it on my terms and not be somebody's pawn." She admitted her "cunning little plan did spectacularly backfire."
The 62-year-old also detailed a clever, if ultimately unsuccessful, strategy that didn't make the final edit. While others enjoyed post-roundtable drinks, Fiona remained sober, even encouraging her co-stars to drink more in the hope they would become "loose-lipped."
"I wanted to get them drunk," she said of her plan. "Well, if they drink it they might wake up with a hangover and be a bit loose-lipped and I'd be able to manipulate them and I could glean some information from them. But I don't think that worked. Another cunning ploy that failed."
As Roxy Wilson prepares for her new arrival this summer, fans of The Traitors can continue to enjoy the unfolding deception and drama on BBC One.
