Singer Tom Grennan has finally given fans a glimpse of his newborn daughter, sharing a sweet snapshot months after his wife, Danniella Carraturo, gave birth in secret.
A Long-Awaited Introduction
The 30-year-old musician, who tied the knot with his Pilates instructor wife last year, proudly posted the intimate photo on his Instagram. In the image, Tom is seen wearing a black hoodie, cradling his sleeping daughter, who is wrapped snugly in a cosy blanket.
He accompanied the tender picture with the heartfelt caption: "I've missed you my little love." This public reveal comes after the couple successfully kept their new addition's arrival under wraps for several months.
The Journey to Fatherhood
Grennan first announced he had become a father in August, sharing the news alongside a photo of his baby daughter with one of his chart awards. He revealed her name in a message at that time.
However, the transition to parenthood wasn't without its challenges for the singer. Speaking on the BBC podcast You About? in September, Tom candidly discussed his initial struggles to find his place after his daughter Dorothy's arrival earlier in the year.
"For me, it was actually kind of tough because you go, 'the baby actually doesn’t need me at all, what this baby needs is mum'," he told co-host Roman Kemp.
He elaborated on feeling like he was "third wheeling big time," adding, "I can’t feed her, I can’t do anything really, apart from just be really supportive with Danniella."
A Newfound Appreciation
Despite the early challenges, Grennan expressed immense admiration for his wife after witnessing the birth. "When I was in [the labour ward] all I was worrying about was Danniella. But she smashed it," he shared emotionally.
"I think when you watch a woman give birth, it's a different level, man. Just seeing it, you're like, 'Wow, you are super human.' But it was so emotional, honestly."
The singer has since settled into the rhythm of family life and embraced his role as a father. In his initial baby announcement in August, he gushed about this new chapter, writing: "To now be stepping into fatherhood at the same time is the greatest gift I could ever imagine."
He poignantly concluded: "Music gave me purpose, but being a dad gives me everything. Here’s to the past that built me, the present that grounds me, and the future I can’t wait for!"
