Steps singer Lee Latchford-Evans has shared some joyous festive news, announcing that he and his wife Kerry-Lucy are expecting their second child together.
A Festive Family Announcement
The musician chose a very special day to make the big reveal: Christmas Day 2025. Taking to Instagram, Lee posted a touching black-and-white photograph of the couple posing by their Christmas tree. Their four-year-old son, Leo, who was born in 2021, was pictured kissing his mother's growing baby bump.
Alongside the image, an elated Lee wrote, "Merry Christmas to all of yours…. from ALL of mine x x x x," adding hashtags that expressed he felt blessed and in love. Fans of the pop star were quick to flood the comments section with congratulations for the growing family.
Overcoming Past Challenges
The happy news comes after the couple previously opened up about facing significant challenges on their path to parenthood. Before Leo's arrival, Lee and Kerry-Lucy suffered a miscarriage, a loss that led to a period of difficulty.
In an interview, Lee admitted they went through a time of feeling "resentment" towards friends who were having babies, a feeling he acknowledged they shouldn't have harboured but which highlighted their frustration and pain.
Leo's own birth in 2021 was also a traumatic experience. The baby was in a breech position and Kerry was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, necessitating a planned Caesarean section. The procedure had complications, as the anaesthetic did not work initially. Despite this, Kerry recalled the amazing moment she saw her "little dreamboat" son for the first time.
A Longstanding Love Story
Lee Latchford-Evans and Kerry-Lucy have been a couple since 2007, building a strong relationship that has weathered the ups and downs of their journey to start a family. Their Christmas announcement marks the next chapter for the pair, who are clearly thrilled to be welcoming a new sibling for their son Leo.
The couple's heartfelt social media post has been met with an outpouring of support from followers and fans, all sharing in their excitement for the new arrival expected in the coming year.
