Jesy, 34, has since launched a campaign for SMA screening at birth in the UK, starting a petition to add the condition to the newborn blood spot (heel prick) test. In a recent emotional interview on This Morning, she revealed her life had "completely changed" and her home now resembled a hospital.
"I just want to be their mum, I don't want to be a nurse," she said. Jesy expressed her belief that early detection could have been life-changing, stating, "I could have saved my babies' legs if the disorder had been spotted sooner."
