Conservationist and bird expert Hannah Bourne-Taylor captured the attention of Clarkson's Farm viewers in the final two episodes of Series 5, where she helped Jeremy Clarkson conduct a bird survey at Diddly Squat Farm. She impressed Clarkson by identifying bird calls faster than his app and revealed she once cared for an orphaned baby bird in her hair for months before releasing it in Ghana.
Who Is Hannah Bourne-Taylor's Husband?
Hannah is married to Robin Bourne-Taylor, a former British Army officer and Olympic rower. The couple wed in 2015.
Military Career
Robin served in the British Army from 2003 to 2011, including a deployment to Afghanistan where he earned the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross. He left active service in 2010 and joined the Regular Army Reserve of Officers in 2011.
Olympic Rowing
Robin competed in the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympics. He also won bronze medals at the 2003 Milan and 2007 Munich World Championships.
Current Work
Robin now works as a professional speaker, sharing his experiences from the battlefield and the Olympics. Hannah's 2022 book Fledgling reveals that Robin's job took the couple to Ghana, where she felt isolated due to visa restrictions. In September 2018, rescuing a baby bird gave her a new purpose. They returned to Oxfordshire in 2021, where Hannah pursued conservation work and wrote her book.
