Police officers in Ohio came to the rescue of an owl that had become entangled in a football goal net, bodycam footage has revealed.
Officers Steve Vogel and David Orlando responded to a call on 19 July in Avon, Ohio, after a member of the public reported a bird in difficulty.
The footage shows one officer using scissors to cut the owl free from the netting, while another held the bird down with a brush to prevent it from injuring itself.
Once the final strands were cut, the owl spread its wings and flew away from the pitch unharmed.
