Children Chase Sheep Off Cliff in Cornwall, Police Investigate

Police are investigating an incident in which a sheep was reportedly chased over a cliff edge by a group of children in Newquay, Cornwall. The incident occurred on July 27 in the Polly Joke area.

According to a statement from Devon and Cornwall Police, one of the individuals involved became aggressive towards a member of the public when challenged about the behaviour. A social media post claimed that a father watched his two young sons chase a ewe over the cliff and threatened to throw passers-by over the edge when they objected.

The post also suggested the man was later seen outside Trevornick Holiday Park, but park management stated they do not believe the family were staying there, noting the individuals were not wearing wristbands and may have arrived by bus.
