Liverpool City Council has issued a statutory notice of its intention to dispose of public open space at Rice Lane Recreational Ground in Walton by granting easements for underground electricity lines and associated access and maintenance rights.
The proposal, made under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by Section 118 of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980, would permit the installation and upkeep of electricity cables beneath part of the recreation ground, together with defined access for utility staff and vehicles when required.
