RSPCA Urges Public to Join June 15 Campaign for Animals

The RSPCA is encouraging people across the United Kingdom to participate in a campaign aimed at helping animals in need. The animal welfare organization shared the appeal on social media, inviting the public to get involved.

RSPCA Week 2026: June 15-21

In the 'June 15' announcement, the RSPCA called on the public to join this year's RSPCA Week. On Facebook, RSPCA (England and Wales) wrote: 'Join us in celebrating RSPCA Week from 15 June to 21 June. RSPCA Ambassador, Kate Lawler, is here to tell you how you can get involved and make a difference for animals in need!'

In a video, Kate Lawler explained how animal lovers and pet owners can participate. She said: 'Have you heard about RSPCA week? If not, where have you been? It launched last year. It's an annual event where we're encouraging the nation to do something incredibly fun, as well as raising money for the RSPCA.'

She added: 'I'm seeing today exactly where your money goes and it really is inspiring. The more people that sign up for RSPCA Week, the more the charity can keep protecting animals like moose here, and giving them the help they need.'

How to Get Involved

Lawler noted that signing up takes just two minutes. 'So get online, search RSPCA week or tap the link, and you get a free digital pack with loads of ideas to help get you started,' she said. 'Whether you're a nursery, a school, a family, a dog mother like me, or just dog-obsessed? Click the link and get involved, and let's show these animals some love they deserve.'

Running from June 15 to June 21, RSPCA Week is a fundraising campaign designed to support animals in need. The charity's website states: 'RSPCA Week is a fun and inspiring fundraising week that invites everyone – from schools and community groups to families, workplaces, and animal lovers everywhere – to get involved and support the world's oldest and largest animal welfare charity. Get ready to celebrate, learn, and make a difference for animals in need!'

Seven Acts of Kindness

Brits can also participate in the RSPCA's 'seven acts of kindness.' The RSPCA said: 'Help make this a Summer of Kindness for animals. Because kind acts, however small, combine to create a more compassionate world.'

The charity added: 'See simple ways to get involved below — solo, with children or your community — and create a kinder summer for every animal.'

People can engage in a range of family-friendly activities, such as litter picking, making a wildlife water station, and feeding hedgehogs, according to the Mirror. There is also advice for those who would like to make pet treats, plant for pollinators, and create a wildlife rescue box for emergencies.
