Mysterious red pellets have been removed from a Carmarthenshire park after they were spotted by a dog walker and reported to the local authority.

The walker found the pellets scattered at Sandy Water Park in Llanelli - a popular country park known for its coastal cycling and walking paths.

Council response and removal

It was unclear what the pellets were and how they had ended up there. Carmarthenshire council has since confirmed they were called to the park and the pellets were removed.

A spokesperson for the council said: "Carmarthenshire County Council was made aware of unidentified pellets placed within an area of Sandy Water Park and acted quickly to remove the material from the area."

The council said they acted swiftly to get rid of the pellets once they were notified.
