Air fryers can get dirty quickly, and while they use less oil, they are not resistant to splatters and grease. They require consistent cleaning to keep cooking favourite dishes effectively. However, one woman has shared a budget-friendly technique for getting an air fryer clean.
On the Mrs Hinch Army Cleaning Tips Facebook group, Adrianna Griffin said that dishwasher tablets are the answer to tackling tough stains on air fryers. She posted a picture of her spotless air fryer basket, stating: "Whoever said using a dishwasher tablet for the air fryer is a lifesaver."
Five-minute soak with boiling water
Adrianna explained that pieces of food stuck to the tray were impossible to remove with just scrubbing. She added: "Just a five-minute soak with boiling hot water, a rinse and wipe and the job was done. The grease had just melted away."
She noted that she does not even own a dishwasher but picked up the tablets cheaply, thinking they could be used for cleaning hacks she had seen on the page.
Why dishwasher tablets work
The blend of enzymes, alkalis and surfactants in these tablets is excellent for tackling grease stains, food marks and even unpleasant odours. These ingredients are not only brilliant for dishwashing but can also be utilised to combat grease, food and smells in other areas of the home.
Dishwasher tablets are versatile and powerful cleaning items, vital for anyone wanting quick and straightforward cleaning methods. Not only do they make washing up simple, but they are also excellent for sprucing up other areas of the home and different appliances, including air fryers.
