Prince William and Princess Catherine are among the most popular royal couples across the world, and there are many reasons why the pair are extremely loved. Still, there's one reason, according to a royal expert, that not many people would know, which makes the royal couple a strong team.
Shared Passion for Nature and Climate
The pair share many interests, from photography and the arts to sports. However, according to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, there's one particular thing that outshines them all.
Ms Bond told OK! Magazine: "They are completely aligned in their love of nature and their belief in the climate crisis facing the world."
More Than Just Support
While some may think it's just a matter of supporting one another in their duties, Ms Bond says it is more than that.
She added: "The natural world, the fresh air we hope to keep on breathing and the delicate balance of preserving our planet are just as key to Catherine as they are to William. And that's one of the many reasons why they make such a great team."
Ms Bond went on: "We've seen William supporting Catherine with her early years work, happily taking a back seat, but being there to show his belief in her campaign. And she does the same for William. They are partners and far more equal partners than many future kings and queens before them."
Recent Climate Action
Last month, William also posted a rare message on X regarding the horrific wildfires that spread across France, Spain and the UK.
The future king wrote: "Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the devastating wildfires across France, Spain and the UK. We are deeply grateful to the firefighters, emergency services and volunteers working tirelessly in extraordinarily difficult conditions.
"These events are a stark reminder of the challenges posed by an increasingly extreme climate and the importance of protecting both people and nature."
The couple have spent years dedicating their time, energy and influence to the climate change crisis, as seen through multiple campaigns and events, and later this year, they are expected to attend the 2026 Earthshot Prize ceremony in Mumbai, India.
