The Friends of Airdrie Islamic Centre and North Lanarkshire Muslim Women’s Association (NLMWA) are hosting the latest Connecting Communities Day on June 27, celebrating diversity and unity.
Event Details
People of all backgrounds are invited to this free family-friendly event from 11am to 4pm at 41 Bell Street, Airdrie. The day promises fun, learning, and cultural exchange, aiming to strengthen relationships between different faiths, cultures, and backgrounds.

Organiser's Statement
Dr Irfan Jehangir, chairperson of the Friends of Airdrie Islamic Centre, said: “This event is not just a festival of flavour and fun, but a meaningful step towards bringing communities together through shared experiences and inclusive celebration.”
Previous events attracted up to 800 people from diverse backgrounds, with consistent praise for the warm atmosphere, wealth of information, and engaging activities.
