Vehicles for Change, the UK charity that operated the RevoLOOtion service providing specialist mobile toilet and changing facilities for disabled people, has ceased trading with immediate effect and entered an insolvency process. The charity, which had been registered since 2018, confirmed the decision in a statement from its trustees and chief executive.
Financial Challenges Lead to Closure
A spokesperson for Vehicles for Change said: "Having considered our financial and trading circumstances carefully, the Trustees and CEO have taken the reluctant decision to cease trading with immediate effect. Over the past year, Vehicles for Change has faced considerable financial headwinds in our mission to provide high-quality mobile accessible toileting and changing facilities across Great Britain."
The charity's RevoLOOtion service offered mobile units equipped with hoists, height-adjustable changing benches, and space for carers, enabling disabled children and adults with complex needs to attend festivals, sporting events, community celebrations, and other public gatherings. The service aimed to address the lack of accessible facilities at many venues.
Impact on Accessibility Services
Vehicles for Change worked with event organisers, local authorities, and community groups across Great Britain to improve accessibility at public events. The charity expressed gratitude for the support it received over the years, acknowledging everyone who backed its mission.
The closure marks the end of a service that helped disabled people and their families access events and public spaces that might otherwise have been difficult to attend. No further details about the insolvency process have been announced.
