Street Style: 7 Fashionable People Spotted as Hot Weather Hits Liverpool
Street Style: 7 Fashionable People in Liverpool Heatwave

The Liverpool Echo headed out in the heat to find some of the best dressed people in Liverpool city centre for this week's Street Style. With the Met Office forecasting temperatures of 38°C to 40°C in parts of England and Wales, accompanied by high humidity and warm nights, dressing fashionably might seem challenging, but everyone we spoke to mastered it.

Esta Khanye: Early 2000s Inspiration

Esta Khanye, 19, from Halifax, loves early 2000s fashion and fun colours. She cites Sharpay Evans from High School Musical and actress Lily-Rose Depp as style icons. Her outfit—top from Joules, jeans from Monki, and shoes from Asda—was all bought on Vinted. She advised: "Not to dress like me when it's this temperature because my outfit is way too thick but generally I think people should dress how they want to dress and not follow trends."

Nela Piaskowska: Custom-Made and Natural Fabrics

Nela Piaskowska, originally from Poland but now living in Liverpool, wore a custom-made outfit crafted by a client as a thank-you gift, using material imported from Madrid. She paired it with heels from Mango. As a nutritionist, she recommends: "Choosing fabrics carefully. Natural fabrics like cotton and linen are the best to wear and definitely silk if you can afford it."

Holly Clayton and Emma Grubb: Australian Travellers

Holly Clayton, 19, from Melbourne, and Emma Grubb, 19, from Tasmania, are travelling Europe for a month. Holly wore shoes from Blaney, trousers from Brandy Melville, a top from Zara, a Guess bag, and Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. Her style is inspired by the clean girl aesthetic and Audrey Hepburn. Emma described her style as "very simple" and inspired by Australian influencer Sopha Dopha. Her trousers are from Supre, top from Glassons, and bag borrowed from her mum. Emma advised: "Wear what you're comfortable in because when you're comfortable you're confident and when you're confident you radiate."

Milani Zapirain: Casual and Breezy

Milani Zapirain, 26, from Liverpool, was out shopping in a top and skirt from Asos, flip flops from Havaianas, and a bag borrowed from a friend. She describes her style as casual, inspired by Dua Lipa and Zoë Kravitz. Her hot-weather tip: "Wear easy, breezy clothes and you can't go wrong with jeans and a nice vest."

Rebecca and Jan Brookman: Light Colours and Accessories

Rebecca, 29, and Jan Brookman, 61, both from Aintree, love how fashionable people in Liverpool are. Rebecca wore jeans from Pretty Little Thing, a top from Next, and a bag from Carvela. She likes to dress up plain outfits with accessories and advises wearing light colours to stay cool. Jan wore a top from Next, trousers from Matalan, and sandals and bag from Shein. She said: "I don't have a style icon but I love seeing the girls all dressed up in Liverpool. I just think they look gorgeous and they're all so fashionable."
