Ryde Studio, a boutique fitness concept known for high-energy indoor cycling classes, has opened its first location in Liverpool at 89 Victoria Street. The studio represents a £500,000 investment by the brand, which already operates successful studios in Leeds and Manchester.
Background and Expansion
Founded by CEO Kyle Harris, Ryde Studio launched in Leeds in 2022 before expanding to Manchester in 2024. The brand now welcomes around 1,500 people each week across its locations. Liverpool manager Josh Purcell explained that the concept originated from Harris's experience in the army and personal training in Canary Wharf, where he noticed the growing demand for immersive fitness experiences. After opening a large gym called L1 in Leeds, Harris observed that cycling machines were the most popular feature, leading him to create a dedicated cycling studio.
Studio Features and Classes
The Liverpool studio houses 40 premium bikes and offers rhythm-based indoor cycling classes set to curated playlists under UV lighting. In addition to cycling, the studio provides alternative fitness sessions including Flow, Barre, Move, and Pilates. Each class lasts 45 minutes, with sessions running throughout the day. The studio also features changing facilities with showers and towels, as well as an on-site wellness café.
Pricing and Introductory Offer
To celebrate its opening, Ryde Liverpool is offering an introductory deal of three classes for £15. Classes can be booked individually or with friends, and memberships start from £8 per session.
Community and Future Plans
Purcell said: "We’re really excited to have opened in Liverpool and to be bringing something different to the city. Once people get a feel for it they almost always come back - the workouts are so much fun." He added that there are plans for significant growth throughout the UK, and the team expects Liverpool to be a big hit.
