A tiny kitten found trapped inside a drainpipe in Greece and rescued after a six-hour operation is now looking for a forever home in the UK. The silver-grey tabby, named Pipe, was discovered wedged inside a building's downspout after his cries were heard just after midnight.
Rescue and recovery
Too small to free himself and hidden from view, Pipe faced a frightening ordeal before a rescuer intervened. Following the exhausting rescue, he was taken to safety. Despite the challenging start, Pipe now appears to view the experience as part of his masterplan, displaying a comical cheeky grin and small vampire-style teeth from his comfortable bed.
His rescuers describe him as cheeky, spirited, and affectionate, with an enormous personality. Brimming with confidence, he is the sort of cat who will keep his future family entertained daily. Pipe has transformed from being trapped and terrified to enjoying a life of luxury, though his permanent home is still missing.
