Mary Berry's one-pot sausage traybake is a quick and easy family dinner, ready in under an hour and made in a single dish. The recipe, shared on BBC Food, serves four to six people and can be adapted for children by replacing the wine with stock.
Simple ingredients, minimal fuss
The dish includes baby new potatoes, sausages, onions, red peppers, garlic, and thyme, all roasted together in the oven. Mary recommends using local, British sausages, noting that her family loves leek and sage varieties.
The recipe instructions suggest placing all ingredients except the wine in a large resealable freezer bag, shaking to coat, then transferring to a roasting pan. After roasting for 30 to 35 minutes, the sausages are turned, the wine is added, and the dish is returned to the oven for a further 20 minutes until golden and tender.
Perfect for busy weeknights
This traybake is designed to be simple and require minimal washing up, without compromising on flavour. Mary suggests serving it with a dollop of mustard on the side, if desired.
