Liz Fletcher Embarrasses Family at Farm Show

Kelvin Fletcher's wife Liz has admitted she 'embarrassed the family' before 'crying my eyes out' after a mishap at a farm show. The couple, known for swapping showbiz for farming, documented their life on ITV's 'Fletchers' Family Farm'.

Sheep Misbehaves at Show

In a 2024 interview with The Farmer's Guardian podcast, Liz recalled her first show with their sheep: 'My sheep was just the most embarrassing sheep ever. Sheep are very good at pretending to be dead, and that is what mine did.' The judge commented, '10 out of 10 for behaviour,' as the sheep jumped and lay flat.

Daughter Saves the Day

However, Liz's daughter Marnie won fourth place at the same show. Liz said: 'I was crying my eyes out, just the sense of pride. My daughter stood there with sheep, she was three or four at the time, and we took that little award home with absolute pride.'

Struggles on the Farm

The couple have also faced challenges, including saying goodbye to their alpacas to make space for cattle, sheep, and pigs for sustainability. Liz explained: 'We'll be sad to lose them, but we need the land back for other animals. What we really want to focus on now is what works commercially.'

Liz and Kelvin are set to appear on James Martin's Saturday Morning on June 13 at 09.30 on ITV1.
