Viewers of Kelvin Fletcher's new BBC documentary series have accused the show of being a 'rip off' of Jeremy Clarkson's farming programme. The six-part series, titled 'Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure', debuted tonight and follows the former Emmerdale actor and his family as they move onto a 120-acre former working farm near the Peak District.
The show, which features the Strictly Come Dancing winner learning to run a farm with help from neighbour Gilly, has drawn comparisons to Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Prime Video. Social media users were quick to point out the similarities, with one tweeting: 'Kelvin Fletcher as the new Jeremy Clarkson is not something I expected to see.' Another wrote: 'On BBC1 right now is a @PrimeVideo Jeremy Clarkson the Farm rip off with Kelvin Fletcher.'
Despite the criticism, some viewers enjoyed the programme. One fan commented: 'Really enjoyed the first episode and what a beautiful farm it is too.' Another added: 'Love it. Just gutted it was only on for 30 minutes. Should have been an hour.' The show's launch comes as Kelvin and his wife Liz announced they are expecting twins.
