Kaleb Cooper has taken a playful dig at his Amazon Prime co-star, Jeremy Clarkson, regarding his diet following the presenter's significant weight loss. Cereals 2026, the UK's premier arable farming event, arrived at Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds this month, bringing together industry knowledge, innovation and expertise to improve the future.
Taking place from June 10 to 11, the event was held at the now-famous Cotswolds farm made popular by Amazon Prime's Clarkson's Farm, featuring Jeremy alongside Kaleb Cooper and agronomist Charlie Ireland. In April, prominent UK farming publication Farmer's Life uploaded footage from a Cereals press conference to its YouTube channel. In the footage, the three stars share their perspectives on the sector.
In one section, Kaleb commented on the future of farming. He said: "I mean, just going off the back of that really quickly as well, and that is, I get asked all the time why everyone like.. Every kid that's going into farming, do you think there's a future in farming? I don't know the answer to that, but what I do know is this. We need a farmer three times a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner."
He then looked at Jeremy and said: "Well, you don't cuz you don't hardly eat anymore", triggering laughter from Clarkson, Charlie and audience members. Kaleb went on: "But, you know, do you know what I mean? Like, we need our farmer three times a day."
His comments appeared to reference Clarkson's recent weight loss journey. Earlier this year, it was reported that the former Top Gear host had been using the weight-loss injection Mounjaro. In January, Clarkson disclosed that he had been taking the medication for six months and had shed an impressive three stone. He told The Sun that Mounjaro had suppressed his appetite and was an astonishing drug.
Clarkson said: "I've had to have completely new outfits, because even my feet have shrunk. The shoes I was wearing last year are falling off me as I'm walking around. I think I might be the first person in the world to lose weight on my feet. I've plateaued now. I'm still on it, but not losing any more weight - but nor am I putting any on, because it keeps my appetite level down."
It comes after the Grand Tour favourite suffered a major health scare in 2024. He underwent heart surgery and had two stents fitted after doctors discovered blocked arteries. In other news, Clarkson recently threatened to quit farming after getting cow poo in his mouth. In scenes that emerged in the fifth season of Clarkson's Farm, Clarkson helps Kaleb complete a castration procedure on a calf. As Clarkson tried to reach behind the calf, it released diarrhoea. He said: "It's s**t all over me." In response, Kaleb says: "You've got it on your nose and everything." Clarkson continued: "I'm covered in diarrhoea! A cow's s**t in my mouth!" He quipped: "That's it, f**k it, I'm going to London. I'm done; I'm going to London in a Bentley. I'm going to see my friend who worked in advertising, law and the theatre."
