Get Walking Lanarkshire seeks walk leaders in Airdrie, Coatbridge

Get Walking Lanarkshire is looking for more walk leaders in Airdrie and Coatbridge. In Airdrie, volunteers are needed for the Thursday morning walk at Brownsburn local nature park and also for new walks. In Coatbridge, the need is for the existing Tuesday morning walk at Drumpellier and new walks.

Volunteers needed for free health walks

Health walks are free, short and easy weekly walks, lasting no longer than an hour, aimed at people who would benefit from becoming more active. Potential walk leaders need no previous experience, just a friendly nature and the availability to lead a walk on a regular basis, while free training will be provided.

Other benefits include meeting new people, improving your own health and wellbeing and seeing walkers improve. For more information about becoming a health walk leader, contact Get Walking Lanarkshire on 07903 358424 or getwalkinglanarkshire@northlan.gov.uk.
