Several popular food products, including fruit, crisps, and frozen desserts, have been urgently recalled over the past week after serious safety concerns were identified. Shoppers are being warned not to eat the affected items and to check packaging details against official recall notices.
Among the most alarming cases is Ferrero's Frozen Nutella Croissant, which may contain metal fragments. The product was sold in UK Lidl stores and has also been removed in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary, and Romania.
Ferrero Frozen Nutella Croissant Recall
Ferrero has recalled specific batches of its Frozen Nutella Croissants due to the potential presence of metal fragments. The affected products are 4-packs with batch codes L126Z39 (best before 06 May 2027) and L127Z39 (best before 07 May 2027). Ferrero stated: "Ferrero announces the recall of specific batches of its frozen bakery products Nutella Croissant and Nutella Muffin in Europe due to the risk that some products may contain metal fragments. The affected products are limited to specific batches. No other Ferrero product is affected."
Morrisons Recalls: Maple & Bacon Snack and Coronation Chicken Pasta
Morrisons has recalled its Maple & Bacon Back of the Net sharing snack (140g, best before 22 August 2026) because some packs may contain undeclared milk, posing a risk to those with milk allergies or intolerances. The company said: "Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don't need a receipt."
Additionally, Morrisons recalled its Coronation Chicken Pasta (230g, batch GBB 584 031, use by 30 June 2026) because some packs may contain Florida Salad with undeclared milk. The company issued a point-of-sale notice and contacted allergy support organisations.
Icesupp Frozen Desserts Recall
Icesupp has recalled its Mango & Passionfruit and Mixed Berries frozen desserts (86ml/100g) due to a packaging defect that could lead to microbiological contamination. The affected products have best before dates ranging from May 2027 to October 2027. The company stated: "Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products."
Prepworld Fruit Products Recall Due to Salmonella
Several fruit packs from Prepworld have been recalled after Salmonella was detected on apples and kiwis. The affected products were sold at major supermarkets including Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, M&S, and Sainsbury's. Use-by dates range from 23 June 2026 to 24 June 2026. The Food Standards Agency warned: "Symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. If you are experiencing these symptoms, you should stay away from work, school or nursery until you have stopped having symptoms for at least 48 hours."
Affected products include ASDA Pink Lady Apple, Mango, Strawberry & Blueberry (220g), Morrisons Kiwi, Melon & Strawberries (220g), Tesco Melon, Kiwi & Strawberry (250g), Tesco Kiwi Fruit Pot (100g), Waitrose Pink Lady Apple and Grapes (115g), M&S Café Pink Lady Apple (90g), M&S Pink Lady Apple Slices (225g), Sainsbury's Melon, Kiwi & Strawberry (220g), and others.
What Consumers Should Do
Customers are advised to return any recalled products to the store for a full refund, with or without a receipt. The Food Standards Agency recommends checking recall notices carefully and not consuming affected items.
