Clarkson's Farm Star Harriet Cowan Rushed to Hospital After Severing Finger in Log Splitter Accident

Clarkson's Farm star Harriet Cowan, 24, was rushed to hospital on Monday after chopping the end of her finger off in a horrific accident involving a log splitter. The incident required emergency surgery to reattach the severed digit.

Sharing graphic images of the injury on social media, Cowan wrote: 'Sorry i've been quiet ! Been a crappy week. Had a run in with a log splitter chopped the end of my finger off, but a quick surgery they stitched it back on !!' She thanked the Pulvertaft Hand Clinic team, adding that lambing season is now underway.

The accident comes just weeks after Cowan landed a new presenting role on Channel 4's Tiny Farmers, alongside comedian Jessica Knappett. The show, which launched on January 19 2026, challenges four children to become egg farmers of the future.

Cowan, a former nurse, joined the cast of Clarkson's Farm in its fourth series in 2025. She recently revealed she had quit nursing to focus on farming full-time, saying she had 'got the bug' for agriculture. She also plans to launch a YouTube channel, 'Harriet On The Farm', on August 31.
