Michelle, posting on Instagram as @crafty_morning, demonstrated what she calls "the natural cheapest way to get rid of weeds." She wore protective gloves and poured boiling water over her paving weeds, then returned "three days later" to find them brown and dead.
Boiling water is effective because it seeps deep into cracks, reaches the roots, and scorches the weed completely, ensuring every part is eliminated.
How to Apply Boiling Water
Fill a kettle with water, bring it to a boil, and carefully carry it outside. Move slowly and clear any obstructions to avoid tripping. Hold the kettle away from your body over the weeds to reduce splashback, and pour steadily.
This destroys the stem immediately and saturates the root system, making weeds easy to pull out. Over the next few days, the weeds will wilt, turn brown, dry out, and die completely.
