Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has announced the arrival of a new calf on her farm, much to the delight of her followers. The Yorkshire Shepherdess shared the news on Instagram, posting photographs of the newborn calf and providing details of the birth.
In her post, Owen wrote: 'A good result. A lovely healthy strong calf safely delivered and mother cow all well and good. Potentially there could be a feeding issue with the calf being tall and the cows udder being low slung. It happens with age and pregnancy.'
Fans quickly responded with messages of joy and congratulations. One follower commented: 'Welcome to the world,' while another wrote: 'Beautiful baby!' A third added: 'Ahhhhh! Many congratulations Mother Cow!' and another said: 'Well done delivered safely from your expert hands remarkable.'
Owen, who has 545,000 Instagram followers, regularly shares updates on daily life at Ravenseat Farm. She rose to fame on the Channel 5 programme Our Yorkshire Farm in 2018, which documented life on the 2,000-acre farm with her ex-husband Clive and their nine children. The couple separated in 2022 but have since strengthened their relationship.
This year, Owen returned to television with the Channel 4 series Our Farm Next Door, which follows her family as they renovate a dilapidated farmhouse. The news of the calf arrival comes after a recent social media post featuring Owen and Clive together, which delighted fans.
