Prince Harry has been urged to stop giving public speeches, with one royal fan deeming them "not needed [and] not wanted".
The royal made an appearance at the Clinton Global Initiative 2026 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, returning to the US just weeks after moving back to the UK. As well as appearing at the event, Harry also took to the stage to give a speech on the dangers of AI.
Emotional speech in New York City
Earlier this week in New York City, an emotional Harry described the dangers AI poses to children and parents, whilst insisting that governments must not delay while the technology becomes more autonomous.
The 42-year-old recently appeared at the WellChild awards in London, taking to the stage to give an emotional speech to those in attendance.
Daily Express poll results
A poll conducted by the Daily Express, which ran from 7am on September 25 to 3.45pm on September 26, asked fans whether Harry should consider stopping his speeches at public events.
Of the 4,456 who cast a vote, 4,241 people [95%] voted that he should stop doing them, whilst 200 people [5%] supported the royal's ambition to keep doing them. Just 15 people [0%] said they weren't sure whether Harry should stop giving public speeches.

Taking to the comment section, one fan said: "He’s not needed, he’s not wanted. Nobody is interested in his drivel..."
Another added: "People should stop asking him. His birthright title ‘Prince’ has made people think he knows more than he does and elevated him beyond his capabilities."
A third wrote: "Couldn’t care less. He has absolutely no relevance." A fourth also said: "Frankly I can’t imagine who could take him seriously."
