The Celtic Fans Collective has demanded that under-fire club chiefs keep their word amid the ongoing silence this summer. The leading fans' group issued a statement on Thursday raising concerns over the lack of communication from the club on a string of issues - including Martin O'Neill's coaching staff, transfers and senior positions.
Background of Discontent
The Hoops hierarchy - including chief exec Michael Nicholson - held their hands up over last summer's chaotic window which caused frictions between decision-makers and Brendan Rodgers, eventually leading to the Northern Irish legend's bombshell departure. A section of supporters have also been at war with supremos over the last 12 months, with Martin O'Neill twice answering an SOS call to save Celts' season by delivering an unlikely Double.
Uncertainty Over Coaching Staff
After being appointed on a permanent basis, uncertainty hangs over the futures of O'Neill's trusted coaching staff, with Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham offered wage cuts. First-team coach Gavin Strachan is also believed to be on the verge of joining West Brom.
