500ft inflatable obstacle course opens at Liverpool waterfront

The Labyrinth Challenge, a 500ft-long inflatable obstacle course, has officially opened at Liverpool Experience Campus as part of this year's summer Indoor Funfair. The course, which is one of the UK's biggest, is available for a limited time, with hundreds of tickets already sold, according to organiser John Lowery.

What to expect at the course

The course includes slides, climbing ladders, sprint sections and doughnuts. The average estimated time to complete it is around two minutes, though organiser John Lowery noted that this is mainly for those half his age. ECHO reporter Paul McAuley finished with a time of 1:01, beating videographer Joe Ponzini, who finished with a time of 1:03.

The course is deceptive and has more hurdles than expected. It is ideal for tiring out children and getting them back into a nighttime routine before the new school year starts.

Funfair details

The funfair already includes 28 rides, such as the Waltzer, a funhouse, mini maze and trampolines. The Labyrinth Challenge has been added to the mix. Sessions last three hours, allowing visitors to tackle the course and go on rides as many times as they like.

John Lowery told the ECHO: "We're still the best value indoor funfair in the UK with the biggest attractions. The Labyrinth Challenge is a fantastic addition to the event and we're thrilled to be bringing it to Liverpool."

Booking and availability

Families will enjoy bouncing along the course and finding their way around obstacles to the finish line. It is advised to book in advance as some sessions will sell out. Everyone who comes will get a code to return for £10 before the end of the run on August 24.

The course is here until Monday, August 24. The funfair also includes food vendors. Photographs of the course were captured by ECHO's Andy Teebay.
