Stephen Graham, who won a Golden Globe for his role in Netflix's hit series Adolescence, is set to portray a chilling serial killer in Apple TV's upcoming crime thriller Nocturne. The 10-part drama, adapted from Lars Kepler's best-selling novels Lazarus and The Sandman, also stars Liev Schreiber and Zazie Beetz.
Nocturne Plot and Cast
According to the official synopsis, Nocturne follows Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who moves from Philadelphia to a small town in Western Pennsylvania seeking a quiet life. However, his peace is shattered when the diabolical serial killer Jurek Walter (Graham) attacks the town and his family. Jonah must protect his loved ones while his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz), confronts Jurek in a desperate search for his last missing victim.
Alongside the lead trio, the cast includes Bill Camp (The Queen's Gambit), Chrissy Metz (This Is Us), and Rory Culkin (Lord of Chaos).
Release Schedule
Nocturne premieres on Apple TV on Friday, October 30, with only the first two episodes dropping on that date. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly, and the grand finale is scheduled for Friday, December 25.
Graham's role in Nocturne marks a departure from his acclaimed performance in Adolescence, where he played Eddie Miller opposite Owen Cooper. The new series promises to showcase his darker side in a riveting crime drama based on two popular novels.
