Tickets for Beamish Museum's Halloween Evenings go on sale this Thursday, July 16, 2026, at noon, with early access for e-newsletter subscribers from 9am. The popular after-dark event transforms the open-air County Durham attraction into the 'Un-living Museum of the North' over three nights: October 28, 30, and Halloween itself on October 31, from 5pm to 9.30pm.
What to Expect at the Un-living Museum
Ghosts and ghouls will inhabit the museum's historic areas, including the Pit Village, the 1900s Town cobbled street, and the 1950s Town. Visitors can expect surprises as they explore after dark, though the event is designed to be family-friendly. The 1800s Pockerley Old Hall, the oldest original building on site, will share curious tales, while the 1950s welfare hall hosts frightful family activities.
Retro Film Screenings
Pre-bookable afternoon film screenings at the 1950s Grand Cinema add to the Halloween experience. On October 28, the giant spider flick Tarantula; October 30 features Them!, about giant man-eating ants; and October 31 shows Creature from the Black Lagoon, a classic about a prehistoric beast in the Amazon.

Halloween Evening tickets cost £25.50 for adults and £16 for children, with under-twos free. Film screenings are £6.50 for adults and £5 for children. Tickets are available via the museum's website.
