BBC Confirms Thomas Skinner Will Stay on Strictly After Walkout

The BBC has confirmed that Thomas Skinner will not be removed from the Strictly Come Dancing line-up, despite walking out of the show's official press launch. The Apprentice star, known for his pillow business, reportedly felt 'incredibly nervous' about participating, which led to his unusual behaviour.

During the launch event, Skinner snatched a reporter's phone and stormed out of interviews after objecting to being recorded. He left fellow contestant Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink to handle interviews alone. The incident sparked calls from viewers for his removal, with many criticising his outspoken views and associations with US Vice President JD Vance.

An insider confirmed that all 15 celebrities were due to film the launch programme, which airs on 20 September, and that Skinner is expected to continue. The BBC issued a statement warning that 'any behaviour which falls below the standards expected will not be tolerated', but has not dropped him from the show.

Skinner responded to the backlash on social media, saying: 'They say don't read the comments on social media. But I couldn't help myself. I've had absolute pellets all day on my Instagram about going on Strictly.' He shared a link to Instagram, adding: 'Why are some people so angry that don't even know me. Not Bosh.'
