ITV's This Morning was taken off air on Wednesday morning after a power cut affected the broadcaster's Covent Garden studio. The disruption also forced Lorraine off air, while Good Morning Britain continued until 10am before the network broadcast This Morning best bits instead.
GMB hosts confirm disruption
Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Ed Balls announced the programme would be pulled due to the technical difficulties. "We'd normally be finding out from This Morning about their show, but unfortunately there's no show," Ed said during the broadcast.
Impact on ITV schedule
The power cut disrupted several shows on the network's Wednesday morning lineup. ITV has not yet confirmed when normal programming will resume.
