Danielle Galligan takes on the role of Claire, Máiréad Tyers portrays Helen, and Stefanie Preissner plays Maggie. Aidan Quinn and Carrie Crowley play the parents, Jack and Mammy Walsh, with Debi Mazar as Chaquie.
The series is written by Stefanie Preissner, with Kefi Chadwick writing two episodes. Directed by Ian Fitzgibbon, the show is produced by Cuba Pictures and Metropolitan Films International for RTÉ in association with the BBC and Screen Ireland. Filming is set to begin soon in Dublin.
The Walsh Sisters (6x50') is described as a comedy about serious topics, exploring the lives of the sisters in their late 20s and 30s. The cast also includes Gina Moxley, Jay Duffy, and Samuel Anderson.
