Strictly Come Dancing contestant John Nellis has admitted he expected to be voted off the show weeks ago, saying he did not even pack a big enough bag because he thought he would be gone by now.
Speaking to Johannes Radebe after his Halloween Week routine with professional partner Katya Jones, Nellis said: "My wife will testify to this. I genuinely thought I was going after a couple of weeks, and so did she. I didn't even pack a big enough bag as I thought I'd be gone by now."
Distraction over leather trousers
Despite receiving a strong score from the judges, viewers were distracted minutes into his performance, with many taking to social media to comment on his tight leather trousers.
One fan posted on X: "What a pair of trousers!" Another wrote: "John in your leather trousers. Phwoar," while a third said: "He's certainly wearing those trousers well."
Bookmakers' predictions for the 2026 series
Since the series began, bookmakers have been offering predictions on who will win the 2026 competition and who will be eliminated each week.
Last week, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr became the fourth pair to leave the ballroom after losing the dance-off to Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu. Their elimination followed the departures of Chris Appleton, Melanie Walters and Sarah Storey.
Frontrunners and next elimination odds
The frontrunner for the title has changed substantially since the series began. Dani Dyer was initially predicted to win, before EastEnders actress Lacey Turner emerged as the one to beat.
While Delta Goodrem remains in the running to reach the final, the Glitterball Trophy may escape her, with Tabby Stoecker currently the bookmakers' favourite at odds of 11/8. Lacey Turner is narrowly behind at 7/4, while Delta lags at 5/1.
The celebrity predicted to depart this weekend is actress Bethany Antonia, with odds of 2/1. Strictly Come Dancing airs on Sunday at 7.10pm on BBC One.
