The Royal Mail has issued a set of 14 stamps celebrating the Netflix science-fiction series Stranger Things, shortly after the final episode aired. The stamps feature characters from the show, with hidden messages revealed under UV light.
The main set of 10 stamps showcases key characters, with five on a red background representing the 'Rightside Up' world and five on blue for the 'Upside Down' dimension. Each vertical pair corresponds to a season, starting with season one on the left. When a UV light is shone on the stamps, iconic logos from the series appear.
British artist Kyle Lambert, known for creating posters for each season of Stranger Things, designed bespoke illustrations for the stamp issue. David Gold, Director of External Affairs & Policy at Royal Mail, said: 'We’re thrilled to celebrate Stranger Things with this striking stamp collection. Each design captures the essence of the series – from its unforgettable characters to the eerie imagery that has gripped audiences worldwide.'
The four stamps in the miniature sheet feature an illustration of the four friends riding their 1980s bikes. The font used for the '1 ST' value replicates the series typeface. The stamps are available for pre-order from 13 January, with a Presentation Pack priced at £24.70.
Stranger Things, set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, first aired in 2016 and stars Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour. The fifth and final series concluded on New Year's Day 2025 with a two-hour finale titled 'Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up'.
