Our Farm Next Door renewed for two more seasons

Channel 4 has confirmed that Our Farm Next Door will return for two further seasons on More4, with the Owen family – Amanda, Clive and their nine children – continuing their renovation of Anty John's farmhouse in the Yorkshire Dales.

The series, which follows the family as they transform the centuries-old property while managing the demands of farm life, has been More4's highest-rated show for three years. Production company Wise Owl Films will document the Owens across seasons five and six, totalling 10 episodes.

What to expect in the new seasons

Season five picks up where the fourth instalment left off, following Amanda and the girls' first sleepover at Anty John's. It will also chronicle the family's lives from this past summer through to spring 2027.

The broadcaster teased the forthcoming seasons, revealing: "With all eleven Owens involved, the series follows Edith, Violet and their sisters as they open up the cream tea van at Ravenseat, while Sid and Miles continue to take on more farming duties – all amidst the ever-present backdrop of the changing seasons in Swaledale for Amanda, Clive and their family."

Reactions from the team

Jayne Stanger, Commissioning Editor for the channel, said: "Our Farm Next Door is a joy of a series that holds a special place in the hearts of our More4 viewers. I am thrilled we're continuing to work with the team at Wise Owl to follow Amanda, Clive and the whole family on their renovation journey and I can't wait to see whether Anty John's might ever be finished!"

James Knight, Creative Director at Wise Owl Films, added: "Amanda admits she has never seen a renovation show on TV, which might help explain why we think Our Farm Next Door is unlike any other series on television. The combination of family life, the farming calendar and the subject of succession on the farm, the ever-revealing history of Anty John's and of course the appropriately slow (reflecting Swaledale life) renovation of the building means there is always something fascinating going on for us filming with the Owens."

Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids can be streamed on Channel 4's on-demand service.
