Moorfields Station Transformed for BBC Show You Are Here

The Old Hall Street entrance of Moorfields station has been transformed with London Underground signage for filming of the new BBC series You Are Here. The change, which replaced the usual Merseyrail livery, took place on Monday, November 2, as Liverpool continues to establish itself as a filming destination.

Old Hall Street, in the city's business district, has hosted production crews in recent weeks for Army of Shadows and Hercule. It has now been taken over again for the BBC show, adapted from David Nicholls' best-selling novel.

Filming Notice for the Public

A notice at the station entrance informed the public that filming was taking place for a television programme provisionally entitled You Are Here. It stated that by entering the area, individuals acknowledged they might be filmed, photographed and recorded for the programme.

The notice said: "You agree to grant to Element Pictures YAH Limited (Producer) the right to film, photograph and record you and use your likeness and voice without compensation, credit or other consideration in the production, distribution and exploitation of the Programme." It added that those who did not wish to be photographed or recorded should leave the area immediately.

Star-Studded Cast and Storyline

You Are Here is an eight-part series featuring Matthew Macfadyen, known for Succession, and Claire Foy, known for The Crown. They play Michael and Marnie, two divorcees brought together by a mutual friend on a long-distance group walking weekend in the English countryside.

A BBC release described the plot: "Following the group walk, Marnie and Michael unexpectedly find themselves setting off on an epic adventure. Against the odds, they end up on the brink of a relationship that neither was looking for, but which might be exactly the one they both need."

The adaptation is a joint production between the BBC and STARZ, with filming facilitated by the Liverpool Film Office. David Nicholls has adapted his own novel for the screen, and the show is directed by Lenny Abrahamson. Karla Crome, Josiah Green-Mhlanga and Tom Stourton have also been cast. Macfadyen was recently in Liverpool for filming of Legacy of Spies.
