Gavin and Stacey star Melanie Walters has become the second celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing, losing the dance-off in week three of the BBC show.
Charleston scores 17 points
On Saturday night (October 10), Walters and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec performed a Charleston to Ooh Ahh... Just A Little Bit by Gina G. The pair received 17 points from the judges.
Judge Motsi Mabuse encouraged the 64-year-old to "keep going", while Craig Revel Horwood received boos after saying he "didn't love" the dance. The score placed Walters second bottom of the leaderboard.
Fans show support online
Despite the low score, many fans shared their support online. One person wrote: "10 for sure !!! On fire Mel - so proud of you." Another said: "Mel looked a bit more confident tonight. Keep going."
A third fan commented: "I really loved this. You did great Melanie and you looked fabulous. Aljaz wig and moustache was hilarious."
Dance-off defeat
After two weeks at the bottom of the leaderboard, Walters faced footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips and his partner Alexis Warr in the dance-off. The duo had scored 15 for their Quickstep to I'm a Believer by The Monkees.
After both couples performed again, the judges decided their fate. Motsi voted to save Melanie, while Craig, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke chose to save Shaun and Alexis.
