Meghan's Netflix Show Loses Daytime Emmy to Dog Series

Meghan Markle's Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan, lost the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lifestyle Programme to Prime Video's dog docuseries A Different Breed at the 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

Royal Commentator's Verdict

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams reacted on X, saying: "Meghan's lifestyle programme With Love, Meghan loses at Daytime Emmys to the Prime Video dog docuseries A Different Breed." He added: "She really is going to the dogs with what she produces. She did not attend. She was, I gather, fine in Suits but such talent as she has has extremely strict limits."

Absence from the Ceremony

The Duchess of Sussex was not present at the ceremony, held at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Her absence may be logistical, following the Sussexes' recent move to the UK.

Despite the loss, securing a nomination for the Netflix show was reportedly considered a milestone for Meghan. The series, which released two seasons and a festive special last year, has not yet been officially renewed for a third run.

Next Screen Appearance

Meghan is set to join the judging panel for next year's series of Junior MasterChef Australia. The role will see her travel to Melbourne for several weeks of filming, though it is unclear whether Harry, Archie, and Lilibet will accompany her.
