Love Island Star Charleen Murphy 'Not Sorry' for Fiery Confrontation Before Villa Exit
Love Island's Charleen Murphy 'Not Sorry' for Confrontation

Charleen Murphy, the 27-year-old Love Island star from Dublin, has spoken out after being dumped from the villa following a dramatic Casa Amor twist. Despite confessing her journey 'ended on a bad note', she remains defiant, insisting she stands by her fiery confrontation with Kavan.

During Tuesday's episode (July 8), a surprise recoupling saw the lads selecting their partners. Kavan chose to go back to Jasmine, leaving Charleen and Mara without a partner and resulting in their brutal exit from the show, according to OK!.

Charleen's Unapologetic Response

Charleen broke her silence on her departure, stating she wouldn't alter anything about her experience. She disclosed that she hadn't fancied anyone for ages and relished the chemistry with Kavan, describing it as an 'instant feeling'. Speaking about their bond, she explained: 'I honestly can't remember the last time I felt that, so it was really special for me.'

She added: 'Even though it didn't work out, I'd rather have tried and expressed my feelings than leave wondering. I was honest with how I felt and I'm glad I was. I don't have any regrets. Maybe it didn't end how I wanted it to, but that's life.'

The Fiery Confrontation

After their split was confirmed, Kavan took Jasmine to the hideaway in front of Charleen. She called him out on his actions and called him a 'd******d'. Charleen explained: 'I definitely found friendships over any kind of relationship, but I think that's just the way it goes. The last thing I did was vent my feelings, which I'm glad I did. I'm glad I got to tell him how I felt, but it's still bittersweet. My man definitely wasn't in there.'

Despite feeling 'gutted' about her Love Island experience, which she confesses 'finished on a sour note', Charleen remains unapologetic. She stated: 'I stand by everything I did and everything I said, even shouting at Kavan. I meant every word and I'm not sorry.'

No Regrets and Advice for Future Islanders

Although she failed to discover her ideal match, Charleen would still urge others to take part in the programme. She revealed: 'It's a great experience and I learned so much about myself. I realised that when I fall for someone, I fall hard.'

She added: 'Maybe I need to look before I fall sometimes, but it's also one of my biggest strengths because when I do love someone, I love them properly. I'm proud of how I handled myself.'

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
