Lorraine Kelly has told fans that her self-titled ITV show will not air on Wednesday (November 4), after a power outage at the studio forced the programme to be replaced at short notice.
The presenter revealed she would not be fronting the mid-week edition of her show as she travelled to work this morning, due to the outage at the studio where she usually presents.
Schedule Changes and Viewer Reaction
Kelly also indicated that This Morning would likely be affected by the outage, suggesting a delay rather than a cancellation, while Good Morning Britain would be extended to cover her usual slot.
In a video posted on Instagram, Kelly said: "Hello there, I'm on my way to work, but there's been a little bit of a hoo-ha. There's a power outage at the studio, so my show won't be on today. But you can still watch GMB. They're going to fix it around 11 o'clockish. So, This Morning will still be on as well, just a bit later."
She added: "It's a bit of a shame. I was really looking forward to Sharleen Spiteri from Texas, but we shall reschedule, and it'll all be fine. I will see you tomorrow!" before captioning her post: "These things happen. Can’t be helped. See you tomorrow."
Impact on ITV Daytime Schedule
Kelly was quickly flooded with messages from disappointed but supportive fans. @margaretporter856 said: "That’s my morning routine upset. I so look forward to your show and soo miss it when you’re not on." @sheilapthomas commented: "And I’m up early today! Love watching you. Have a nice breakfast."
@hummingbhouse replied: "See you tomorrow Lorraine. Thanks for your amazing shows. Still wish you were on for the full hour." @commonsense.candles wrote: "Ah what a shame! Sorry to hear this. Hope you have a beautiful day xxx." @anniewong16 added: "Noooooo I love watching your show Lorraine... See you tomorrow Lorraine, my lovely."
Viewers are used to tuning in from 9.30am until 10am Monday to Fridays to watch Lorraine on her show, following previous changes to the ITV Daytime schedule. It was previously confirmed that both Lorraine and Loose Women would only air for 30 weeks of the year due to ITV cost-saving measures. Prior to this, both programmes aired all 52 weeks of the year. From 2026, Lorraine's eponymous show has also been cut from an hour to 30 minutes.
