Lord Sugar is set to face tough questions from a group of mini apprentices as part of this year's BBC Children in Need appeal night. The sketch, which will air on Friday 14 November, sees the Apprentice boss interrogated by young candidates from Haringey Shed, a project funded by Children in Need.
The children will quiz Lord Sugar on topics including his grumpiness, wealth, football, inheritance, and business regrets. Among the questions are 'Are you the person that made Spurs rubbish?' and 'Why is your name Sugar when you are so salty?' Lord Sugar's aides, Baroness Brady and Tim Campbell, will be on hand for support.
Lord Sugar said: 'As a special one off I've agreed to let some youngsters come in and grill me, I'm doing a favour for Pudsey. I must be going a bit soft but let's see what happens.'
The night will also feature a Gladiators takeover with mini contenders, a face-off between Bradley Walsh and his 'mini me', and a news desk invasion for Sophie Raworth. BAFTA-winning actor Lenny Rush and Pudsey have been promoted to telly executives for the evening, tasked with putting children at the heart of programming.
Lenny Rush said: 'Leading the charge of a BBC kids take over has been a lot of fun! It's been so good to get back into doing the Children in Need sketches, especially because I get to play a grumpy, self-centred boss as the BBC's Deputy Head of Programming.'
The appeal night, hosted by Mel Giedroyc, Rochelle Humes, Vernon Kay, Paddy McGuinness, Lenny Rush, and Big Zuu, aims to raise funds for children and young people across the UK. The charity currently can only help one in six projects that apply for funding.
