Loose Women's Kéllé Bryan admits some panellists are closer than others
Loose Women's Kéllé Bryan on co-star closeness

Loose Women panellist Kéllé Bryan has made an "honest" admission about her co-stars, saying "some of us are closer" than others. Kéllé, a founding member of girl group Eternal who has also appeared in Hollyoaks and EastEnders, has been a panellist on the ITV talk show since 2019.

Asked if she missed her fellow panellists over the summer break, Kéllé told Heat magazine: "Absolutely, but to be honest, some of us are closer to each other than other people. Obviously, it's just like in any other work scenario."

Summer catch-ups with co-stars

She revealed that she "hooked up" with Judi Love, Brenda Edwards and Charlene White over the summer. Kéllé explained that she has been working with Brenda on behalf of her late son Jamal's charity.

Kéllé added: "I've been mentoring some young people for her during the summer. It's been amazing, just watching them progress and seeing the work that she does for the trust. It's been wonderful to be a part of."

Gloria Hunniford's 80 years in showbusiness

Her comments follow reports that fellow panellist Gloria Hunniford appeared to admit she has no plans to retire, as she marked 80 years in showbusiness on an episode of Loose Women this week.

Speaking on Monday's episode (November 2), Gloria was joined by Coleen Nolan, Ruth Langsford and Jane Moore for the tribute, which took the form of a special segment. Gloria said: "You're probably saying, 'Why doesn't she retire?'"

She went on to say: "You have to be practical when you get to the 80s because, heaven forbid, but I've been lucky not to have anything seriously wrong. But if you have an illness or something, then, of course, that helps you make a decision. But at the minute, hey, you're stuck with me!"

Reflecting on her career

In the episode, Gloria walked down memory lane, recalling her move to London as a mum-of-three. She admitted she never thought of herself as a "trailblazer".

She said: "I didn't think of it like that. Because I was a housewife with three children by that stage and I always thought of myself as a mum first and foremost. But here I am with this challenge, and I was excited about doing it, but I was too busy learning how to do it."
